On Friday the 13th of January, the president and coach of the L.A. Swans had the privilege of meeting one of the legends of Australian Rules Football, Ronald Dale Barassi.

Ron Barassi, the Vince Lombardi of Aussie Rules Football, had a magnificent career as both player and coach and was in L.A. to promote our great sport and the exhibition match between the Sydney Swans and North Melbourne Kangaroos which was held on Sunday the 15th of January at UCLA.

He was also kind enough to take time out of his busy schedule to talk with players and members of the SCAFL board and offered words of wisdom for coaching and developing Australian Football in Southern California.
